The first reason due to which every Muslims should learn Quran is to understand what Allah Almighty has instructed his creation. The Holy Quran must encompass the whole life of a Muslim. The prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said, "When anyone recites the Holy Quran, he gets ten virtues written down for him against each letter". There is a saying of the Holy Prophet regarding this, given below. There are some other sayings of the Holy Prophet, which elaborate all the benefits for those who choose to learn Quran. For example, the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said, "The house in which the Holy Quran is read looks as bright as the shining stars to those who live in heavens". Another saying of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) regarding the same topic is, "The house, in which the Quran is read, is visited by the angels for blessing and the Satans run away from that place" So in fact, people who learn Quran for its recitation are also keeping their homes so sacred that it becomes a place for the visiting of the angels. Getting the virtues and making the home a sacred place are great benefits of the Quran recitation. However, the Prophet Muhammad promised an even greater reward for the people who learn Quran and teach it to others. The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said, "The best among you is the one who learns Quran and then teaches it to others." The Hadees mentioned above is the emblem of the integrity and reward one can reach if one chooses to learn Quran. In Islam, it is the noblest thing of all. Moreover, who does not want to be among the best of the Muslims? When one chooses to learn Quran, the nature opens the doors of the excellence to that person. Learning the Quran is not just about learning the recitation of the Quran. It also implies that the Muslims must understand it. The Quran was revealed in the Arabic language. The native Arabic speakers can understand it with a little effort. However, the Muslims belonging to other nationalities should try to learn the Quran by reading its translations. The translations of the Quran are available in all the languages of the world. The English translation is available all over the world.
